This Blog will enable you to
keep up to date with our exciting new church here in Coventry.
Services will start on
Sunday, 1st December, in the Costa Coffee Shop on Gallagher Retail
Park, Coventry. We are initially going to meet fortnightly and will build to
weekly sessions in the New Year. We will therefore have two sessions before
Christmas on 1st and 15th December.
We are going to gather at
4.30pm and from 5pm we will have a 45/50 minute modern-style worship session.
We will sing modern Christian songs; there will be short talks using
straightforward language; services will be inter-active and time will be set
aside for prayers. Oh, by the way, you can also enjoy a coffee (or tea of
course) on us.
Anyone is welcome to come
along to Coffee Shop Sunday including people who already go to church
and we look forward in particular to welcoming people who don’t normally go to
church. We are providing an opportunity for you to “meet God in an
ordinary place” so please feel free to come along and maybe bring
someone you know.
There are going to be plenty
of pictures on this Blog as the weeks pass and as a starter here are a couple
of pictures showing the team busily ‘planning’ and two of the lovely Costa
staff who will be serving us at our Sunday sessions.
We hope you will enjoy
reading this Blog and comment when you can – feedback is important for us as we
step out on this journey with nervousness but also with tremendous excitement.
Most importantly we know
God is helping us with this project so we know we are in good hands.
