Coffee Shop Sunday member, Anita, came over from the USA to stay with Deacon Sue for 6 weeks. As Sue was busy with the Christmas Tree Festival at her church, Trevor and I took Anita out for the afternoon on 3rd December. On Sunday 4th December, a group of us visited the Christmas Tree Festival at Ryton Methodist (Sue's church). Later we did some carol singing outside 🎵

Family Weekend 19-20 November 2022

We had a wonderful Family Weekend. On Saturday, people came from various regions of England and one travelled from the USA to be with us. There were also visitors from five continents on Zoom! At the Warwick Road Church Centre, there were craft sessions, drama, singing, prayers, meditation, a chat with Robin in Australia and a quiz. We celebrated the birthdays of Trevor and Sue, both 70 this year 🎈🎉🎂🍰😋

On Sunday, we attended four churches within the Coventry & Nuneaton Methodist Circuit, to talk about Coffee Shop Sunday. We met up afterwards for a delicious lunch and the day culminated in a prayer walk at the Gallagher Retail Park 🙏

Blowing Bubbles - 6th November 2022

We had another lovely gathering at the Warwick Road Church Centre. A bubble machine was set up outside to attract the attention of passers-by - a couple did pop in for coffee. Rev Ian gave an inspiring reflection about 'fireworks'. 🎆🎇

City Centre Prayer Walk 16th October 2022

Five us us from Coffee Shop Sunday went on a City Centre Prayer Walk earlier. It was a joyful and spirit-led occasion. We welcome anyone who would like to join us! 😊🙏🎶💓

Testing the Waters - 2nd October 2022

We met today in the café at the Warwick Road Church Centre. This may become our new home for Coffee Shop Sunday worship.

Everyone felt optimistic about the potential for this venue which is on a main pedestrian route to the heart of Coventry City Centre. The footfall is tremendous, and the venue offers the opportunity to welcome new people to get to know God.

We have been searching and praying for a new home since we stopped using Costa Coffee. We know that God will let us know if this is the place. We are having a three month trial just to test out some ideas.

Prayer Walk at Gallagher Retail Park 18 Sept 2022

Four of us went on a CSS Prayer Walk this afternoon at the Gallagher Retail Park, starting and ending at Costa. Small in number but 'where two or three are gathered.. etc.' It was really lovely and a couple of shoppers joined in the singing at one point 😊🙏💗🎵

Ice Cream Sundae [2]

There was a fabulous gathering outside Coventry Methodist Central Hall this afternoon. It was a bringing together of people in the community and a showcase for talent: drumming, singing and rapping. We gave out free ice creams and ice lollies, which were accepted gleefully in the hot weather! 🎤🎶🥁🙏💕🍨🍦
