Open Doors Gathering on 3rd September 2023

We had a lovely 'Open Doors' gathering this afternoon at Warwick Road café, followed by a Zoom session, led by Jonathan, talking about 'inclusiveness'. In the first photo, Janine and James are holding up some artwork, started by Mary at our weekend gathering in June. People have added to it and the artwork is finished! 🎨 📷💻🙏🎶

Prayer Walk 30th April 2023

Six of us (plus Honey the dog) went on a Coventry city centre prayer walk today. A couple of American visitors (one a pastor) joined in with the singing and the fellowship 😊🙏🎵💗

Drop-in Session 19th February 2023

Over 20 people popped in for a free drink, piece of cake, a chat and prayer at the Open Doors Café. God is certainly at work in CSS 😊🍵🍰🙏

Prayer Walk 12th February 2023

We went on a CSS Prayer Walk in the city centre earlier. There were 8 humans and 4 canines... plus a trio of adorable dachshunds we encountered along the way! 😃🐾🐾🙏

City Centre Prayer Walk 16th October 2022

Five us us from Coffee Shop Sunday went on a City Centre Prayer Walk earlier. It was a joyful and spirit-led occasion. We welcome anyone who would like to join us! 😊🙏🎶💓

Prayer Walk at Gallagher Retail Park 18 Sept 2022

Four of us went on a CSS Prayer Walk this afternoon at the Gallagher Retail Park, starting and ending at Costa. Small in number but 'where two or three are gathered.. etc.' It was really lovely and a couple of shoppers joined in the singing at one point 😊🙏💗🎵

Happy Easter 2022

It was VERY quiet in Costa Coffee today. We presented the Costa staff with Easter gifts: small handcrafted bags filled with chocolate eggs and an Easter card. Five of us went on a prayer walk around the Gallagher Retail Park.

Gathering with Emily on 6th March 2022

It was an absolute joy to welcome Emily Owen to our gathering at Costa on 6th March. She gave a shortened version of her struggle with the after effects of surgeries to remove brain tumours, which stole her hearing, smile and ability to walk properly. Her testimony of faith in spite of this adversity was truly uplifting.

Gathering on 23rd January 2022: Trauma, healing and transformation

It was a lovely gathering today at Costa. Our guest was Rev'd Kathryn Darby, who talked about trauma, healing and transformation. She sang a couple of songs too! 😊🎶🙏🍵

Gathering with Communion on 9th January 2022

 This was our very first Holy Communion gathering, which was very special and meaningful. There was a table-top discussion... people were asked. "What promises have you made and what does commitment mean to you?" Annie & Trevor were interviewed and gave their opinions on this subject of 'commitment'. Bill led the main prayers and Communion was led by Rev'd Ian 🙏🎵🎶🍞🍷✟

Carol Service Gathering on 12th December 2021

Before the gathering, Rev'd Ian led a prayer walk around the Gallagher Retail Park. The get-together was  really lovely as we sang carols, watched a nativity cartoon video and chatted about what we wanted for Christmas. Deacon Sue was 'in conversation' with a CSS regular attendee, Faith. 😊🙏🎵🎶

Sandra Godley at Costa on 28th November 2021

It was a good turnout (over 40) at our Costa gathering yesterday, with our special guest, BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Radio (CWR) presenter, Sandra Godley. She shared her faith journey and sang her own song, "My Darling", dedicated to her aunt, who was lost to Covid.
